Menikah merupakan salah satu Sunnah Rosul yang sangat dianjurkan, untuk membangun keluarga sakinah adalah dambaan setiap insan.

Namun, sebelum menikah, seorang anak, baik laki-laki maupun perempuan mempunyai kewajiban yang besar kepada kedua orang tuanya, terutama kepada ibundanya.

Apabila anak perempuan menikah, maka dia akan menjadi hak suami. Ayah dan Ibunya tidak lagi memiliki hak atas perempuan tersebut.

Namun, bagi anak laki-laki, kewajiban berbakti kepada ibu tidak akan hilang begitu saja. Sehingga meski sudah memiliki istri dia tetap menjadi hak Ibunya.

Mengapa adanya perbedaan hak ibu terhadap anak laki-lakinya yang telah menikah?

Lantas bagaimana pula seharusnya anak laki-laki memperlakukan ibunya setelah menikah, di samping tetap mewujudkan keluarga bersama istri dan anak-anak? Simak ulasan berikut.

Secara khusus atau dengan sangat istimewa, Islam menekankan hak ibu kepada anak laki-laki kandungnya. Mengapa terhadap anak perempuan kandungnya tidak?

Karena anak perempuan dilepas setelah diperistri seseorang. Sedangkan anak laki-laki tidak bisa lepas, walaupun ia sudah beristri.

Dengan demikian, pengabdian anak laki-laki kepada ibu kandungnya tidak putus. Tetapi pengabdian anak perempuan putus dan beralih kepada suaminya.

Karena itu, anak laki-laki lebih terikat kepada ibunya. Sementara anak perempuan terlepas ikatan pengabdiannya kepada ibunya sendiri.

Laki-laki wajib membelanjai istri dan anaknya serta wajib terus memperhatikan nasib ibu kandungnya.

Anak laki-laki yang dewasa, lalu menikah, ibunya lebih berkuasa terhadap dirinya dari pada istrinya.

Karena ibu lebih berhak kapada anak laki-laki kandungnya, maka anak tersebut harus berusaha menjaga perasaan ibunya.

Lantas, bagaimana jika kebutuhan istri dan kebutuhan ibu bersamaan waktunya? Bila kepentingan makan dan minum istri sudah terpenuhi, lalu istri punya keperluan lain yang tidak pokok, maka yang wajib didahulukan adalah kepentingan ibu.

Demikianlah hak ibu kepada anak laki-laki kandungnya. Jadi istri harus menyadari bahwa kepentingan ibu kandung suaminya adalah kepentingan yang hampir mutlak kepada si anak. Karena suami masih memiliki kewajiban kepada ibunya.

Jika seorang istri tidak menyadari aturan Islam seperti ini, maka hubungan suami dan istri bisa saja berjalan tidak baik.

Oleh sebab itu, disarankan kepada para istri untuk memahami ilmu agama. Ketika melihat suaminya begitu taat kepada ibu kandungnya, seorang istri harus meridhoinya.

Keistimewaan seorang ibu juga tergambar dari hadist Rasulullah SAW. Dari Abu Hurairah r.a. berkata, Ada seseorang yang datang menghadap Rasulullah dan bertanya:

“Ya Rasulallah, siapakah orang yang lebih berhak dengan kebaikanku?” Jawab Rasulullah, “Ibumu.” Ia bertanya lagi, “Lalu siapa?” Jawabnya, “Ibumu.” Ia bertanya lagi, “Lalu siapa?” Jawabnya, “Ibumu.” Ia bertanya lagi, “Lalu siapa?” Jawabnya, “Ayahmu.” (Bukhari, Muslim, dan Ibnu Majah)

Ada seseorang yang datang, disebutkan namanya Muawiyah bin Haydah r.a., bertanya: “Ya Rasulallah, siapakah orang yang lebih berhak dengan kebaikanku?” Jawab Rasulullah saw: “Ibumu.” Dengan diulang tiga kali pertanyaan dan jawaban yang sama.

Pengulangan kata “ibu” sampai tiga kali menunjukkan bahwa ibu lebih berhak atas anaknya dengan bagian yang lebih lengkap, seperti al-bir (kebajikan), ihsan (pelayanan).

Ibnu Al-Baththal mengatakan bahwa ibu memiliki tiga kali hak lebih banyak daripada ayahnya. Karena kata ‘ayah’ dalam hadits disebutkan sekali sedangkan kata ‘ibu’ diulang sampai tiga kali.

Hal ini dapat dipahami dari kondisi ibu ketika hamil, melahirkan, menyusui. Tiga hal ini hanya bisa dikerjakan oleh ibu, dengan berbagai penderitaannya, kemudian ayah menyertainya dalam tarbiyah, pembinaan, dan pengasuhan. Hal itu diisyaratkan pula dalam firman Allah SWT Surat Luqman ayat 14.

“Dan kami perintahkan kepada manusia (berbuat baik) kepada dua orang ibu- bapaknya; ibunya telah mengandungnya dalam keadaan lemah yang bertambah- tambah, dan menyapihnya dalam dua tahun—selambat-lambat waktu menyapih ialah setelah anak berumur dua tahun—bersyukurlah kepadaKu dan kepada dua orang ibu bapakmu, hanya kepada-Kulah kembalimu”.

Allah menyamakan keduanya dalam berwasiat, namun mengkhususkan ibu dengan tiga hal yang telah disebutkan di atas.

Sementara itu, Imam Ahmad dan Bukhari meriwayatkan dalam Al-Adabul Mufrad, demikian juga Ibnu Majah dan Al Hakim menshahihkannya dari Al-Miqdam bin Ma’di Kariba, bahwa Rasulullah saw. bersabda:

“Sesunguhnya Allah swt. telah berwasiat kepada kalian tentang ibu kalian, kemudian berwasiat tentang ibu kalian, kemudian berwasiat tentang ibu kalian, kemudian berwasiat tentang ayah kalian, kemudian berwasiat tentang kerabat dari yang terdekat.”

Hal ini memberikan kesan untuk memprioritaskan kerabat yang didekatkan dari sisi kedua orang tua daripada yang didekatkan dengan satu sisi saja.

Memprioritaskan kerabat yang ada hubungan mahram daripada yang tidak ada hubungan mahram, kemudian hubungan pernikahan.

Ibnu Baththal menunjukkan bahwa urutan itu tidak memungkinkan memberikan kebaikan sekaligus kepada keseluruhan kerabat.

Dari hadits ini dapat diambil pelajaran tentang ibu yang lebih diprioritaskan dalam berbuat kebaikan dari pada ayah.

Hal ini dikuatkan oleh hadits Imam Ahmad, An-Nasa’i, Al-Hakim yang menshahihkannya, dari Aisyah r.a. berkata: “Aku bertanya kepada Nabi Muhammad saw., siapakah manusia yang paling berhak atas seorang wanita?” Jawabnya, “Suaminya.” “Kalau atas laki-laki?” Jawabnya, “Ibunya.”

Demikian juga yang diriwayatkan Al-Hakim dan Abu Daud dari Amr bin Syuaib dari ayahnya dari kakeknya, bahwa ada seorang wanita yang bertanya:

“Ya Rasulallah, sesungguhnya anak laki-lakiku ini, perutku pernah menjadi tempatnya, air susuku pernah menjadi minumannya, pangkuanku pernah menjadi pelipurnya. Dan sesungguhnya ayahnya menceraikanku, dan hendak mencabutnya dariku.” Rasulullah saw. bersabda, “Kamu lebih berhak daripada ayahnya, selama kamu belum menikah.”

Maksudnya menikah dengan lelaki lain, bukan ayahnya, maka wanita itu yang meneruskan pengasuhannya, karena ialah yang lebih spesifik dengan anaknya, lebih berhak baginya karena kekhususannya ketika hamil, melahirkan, dan menyusui.
